THE PARIS PAPERS
The following photos were meant to be included in the second volume of the Paris Papers, but we all know that did not happen... so here they are!

The Eiffel Tower, the FIRST place I headed

The Chateau at Chantilly

La Musee D'Orsay

Me at the Louvre

This is me and Jane, a wondeful woman from Australia I met on Mont Martre

This is Sacre Coeur (Sacred Heart) Cathedral on Mont Martre

This is Napoleon's Arc de Triumphe, it is situated in the middle of Charles De Gaulle Etoile (Star) which is one of the world's largest rotaries, 8 lanes of traffic. This Monument is less than 200 Yards awak from my home.

This is a view of Avenue Wagram from the top of L'Arc de Triumphe, the little yellow arrow is pointing down my street, Rue des Renaudes, so I am quite literally a stone's throw away from L'Arc de Triumphe :o)

The Grand Arch at La Defense

This is the Paris Opera House, the inspiration for the famous story (and Broadway Play) "The Phantom of the Opera"

This is the ceiling at the Paris Opera House, this is one of my favorie photos

Notre Dame, it's funny, I have taken over 1,000 pictures and have NONE of the facade of the cathedral, guess I will just have to go back! :o)

La Tour Eiffel at Night (They light up all the monuments in Paris at night, it is really cool!)

My Room

My Hosts Madame and Monsieur

The Giant Egyptian Obelisk, stolen from the Temple of Luxor and installed in the Place de la Concorde just beyond the Louvre, at the exact location where the Guillotine once stood

Me and La Tour Eiffel

Well, I know that this does not look like much, but it took over an hour to pull together, and I will upload more pictures when I can. I hope you weren't all too bored. I will try to get the text of the Paris Papers uploaded too. Until next time...............................

I remain, yours,
Monica
